Treatment of Oil Production Data under Fines Migration and Productivity Decline

چکیده
Fines migration is a common cause of permeability and, consequently, injectivity and productivity decline in subterranean reservoirs. Many practitioners implement prevention or remediation strategies to reduce the impact fines on field injectivity. These efforts rely careful modelling underlying physical processes. Existing works have demonstrated ability predict by quantifying extent particle at different fluid velocities. Fluid flows porous media often involve multiple phases, which has been shown laboratory experiments influence detachment. However, no theory directly accounted for this detachment model. In work, new model fine detachment, expressed through critical retention function, presented, explicitly accounting immobile trapped within irreducible water phase. The utilises pore size distribution allow prediction Further, an analytical presented during radial flow into production well. accounts single-phase presence water, affect significantly. Combining these two models allows revealing effects connate saturation well impedance (skin factor growth) under migration. 15 صفحه اولDecline and depletion rates of oil production: a comprehensive investigation.
Two of the most fundamental concepts in the current debate about future oil supply are oilfield decline rates and depletion rates. These concepts are related, but not identical. This paper clarifies the definitions of these concepts, summarizes the underlying theory and empirically estimates decline and depletion rates for different categories of oilfield. A database of 880 post-peak fields is ...
